Vianessa “Via” Shephard is an accomplished HR Consultant with expertise in human resources management and client relations. She currently serves at a major utility company in Detroit, Michigan, where her passion for people, policy, and purpose drives her work.

Born and raised in Detroit, Via is deeply connected to her community and brings a personal touch to every professional space she enters. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Detroit College of Business (now Davenport University) and a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from Wayne State University.

Via is a 14-year breast cancer survivor, and her journey through diagnosis, treatment, and healing is a powerful testimony of faith, resilience, and perseverance. Her experience informs her compassionate leadership style, making her a powerful advocate for supportive workplace culture and mental wellness.

She is an active member of LAM Christian Church, where she faithfully serves as an adjutant and co-leader of the women’s ministry. Her love for God, community, and family is at the heart of everything she does.

Via and her husband Stan reside in Clinton Township, MI, and are proud parents of 10 children, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Together, they raise their three youngest children: Johnathan (19), MaKiya (15), and Jordan (12).

Beyond work and ministry, Via finds peace and inspiration in music, and enjoys therapeutic creative hobbies like paint-by-number art. She treasures time with her family and friends, valuing connection as a key to healing and joy.
